Rockwell is a popular slab serif typeface family. It is easily recognizable by its square serifs, tall x-height, stubby ascenders/descenders, and versatile personality.
As I began to explore this typeface and what made it so special, I repeatedly was brought back to how strong and masculine it appeared. However, most people didn't expect me to pair that masculine aspect of it with the world of modeling. This first struck me as I examed the build of the type and how its tall x-height balanced the short descenders. This effect mimics the fashion in which models elongate their frames by posing. The whole layout is aimed to appear like a magazine mixed with a model casting card for 3 of the type style in the Rockwell family.
